Tech or equivalent degree/ Master's degree in Economics, Social Work,
Psychology, Mathematics, Statistics or Operations Research. Outstanding
BE/BTech students will also be considered for direct admission to PhD.

Students are awarded scholarships from the
date of their joining or August 2nd (whichever is later). The value of
the scholarship per month for students enrolled in different programs
of the institute is given below.

Fellowships sponsored by CSIR-UGC, INFOSYS, IBM, GE, HP, TATA and
several other organizations are also available for meritorious
students.
Scholarships are initially awarded for a period of one year. They are
renewable subject to satisfactory academic performance of the candidate
as determined by periodical reviews.
Scholarship is renewable for a maximum period of 2 years in case of M
Sc (Engg) and of 5 years in case of Ph.D. candidates.
Candidates who are in
receipt of salary from their Employers/Sponsors are not eligible for
any scholarship.
