I was born in
Calcutta, India but
the weather and people of Bangalore
have somehow managed to turn a one-time staunch Calcuttan to a permanent
Bangalorean. I had spent some amount of my life in the US and had a two
year stint in Turkey. I am married to my wonderful wife
Sucharita , who is one of the best cooks in the world (and all my friends
who have tasted her cooking will vouch for that) and we have a deadly son named
Shibajeet (GulGul) . I am generally pretty content
with reading the Bangalore edition
of The Times of India in the
morning and then shuttling between my house and the department during the
day and catching up a couple of Hollywood movies in the cable almost every
other night. But Sundays I laze around in my Jacuzzi, and usually tend to
take long drives with Sucharita and GulGul in the log weekends. But don't
forget! You can catch me playing Bridge at the IISc faculty club every
Wednesday from 6:00 to 9:00 in the evening.
